The surgical facilities at Croft are second to none and would certainly not look out of place in a contemporary human hospital. With four purpose-built operating theatres, contemporary anaesthetic facilities and a comprehensive range of surgical instrumentation equipment we are able to deal with absolutely every kind of case. Personnel are at the heart of any successful surgical unit: just as you wouldn’t expect your own GP to operate on your gallbladder or fix your broken leg, general veterinary practitioners recognise the benefits of referring surgical cases to a large team of specially trained and qualified small animal surgeons and veterinary nurses. The team is led by Malcolm Ness FRCVS a recognised veterinary surgical specialist.
All of our surgeons have substantial postgraduate experience, training and special surgical expertise. Because of this unique combination of veterinary surgical expertise, unrivalled facilities and dedicated caring, the Animal Surgical Centre looks after patients referred by other vets right across the region.
Many surgical cases appear at inconvenient times so the services of the Animal Surgical Centre at Croft Veterinary Hospital are available round-the-clock to deal with surgical emergencies whenever they occur.
